Finn Sisu Hiihto Relay Race

Kick-start the new year with the return of Finn Sisu's Hiihto Relay Race at Battle Creek!
Your team of two (yourself and one partner) will alternate laps of the entire Battle Creek man-made loop, skiing 2 laps each for a total of four laps. This is a freestyle race. The race totals roughly 13.2 km, with each of you skiing 6.6 km. The race starts promptly at 11 am, with the course closing at 10:50 am, and bib pick up ending at 10:45 am. We would love for this to be a large community gathering so we are calling on skiers of all ability levels to come out and have FUN as we ring in the New Year and the second year of snow making at BC. For this event we have a max capacity of 200 individuals, or 100 relay teams. So, sign up early to confirm your spot! We ask you to come up with a creative team name for the race which you will submit during the registration process. There will be Finn Sisu raffle prizes, warm drinks, and a post race snack available only for participants. We cannot wait to see you there!

Bib pick up: Race day outside the Recreation Center at BC. Bib pick up is available 9:45am-10:45am. Look for the blue Finn Sisu tent!
Race Distance: 13.2 km total – 6.6 km individual distance. Teams of 2 people only!
Discipline: Freestyle
*The course will NOT be closed during this event. Please be courteous to all trail users. You will need a Ramsey County Parks ski pass to be on the course.*
The course will start in the stadium and follow the marked man-made loop from there (red line). Each lap will be approximately 3.3 km. Skiers will individually ski a total of 6.6 km, and as a team they will ski 13.2 km. The course will not be using the “A” climb.
